Another drawback to the extra long grass in our yard is that it can conceal many things such as toys, rocks (unappreciated by the lawnmower) and other assorted treasures. There have been times when it has concealed things I definitely DO NOT LIKE, like spiders, bugs and snakes. Last year I actually had a snake crawl across my foot when I was walking across the grass.
Not Good. This morning my daughter-in-law returned from her early run only to be greeted by a 2-3 foot snake on our front porch! We all love nature but that's a little much I think.
